I am planning and organizing our Victorian Christmas Tea coming up this week.
This is a cloudy, misty chilly December Sunday
here in Texas...time to hibernate a bit.....
and we are loving this Starbucks Vanilla Latte
as an afternoon treat.....

I am pulling out my collection of Christmas books
I collected over the years which are chocked full of
decorating ideas and delectable recipes....
a perfect day for last minute on line shopping
and Christmas movie watching....

It’s a cold wet day in the Country too! I’m snug in the girl bunk reading and napping all afternoon. About to get up and finish up a last Christmas painting, though. We come home tomorrow and there will be no time to paint then!

Delete...sigh...how I long for a lazy afternoon...or better yet, a couple of days!!! As busy as the season is and I do love the activities, I am ready for a "me day"!! For some crazy reason, I decided this was the year to finish that family recipe book that I've been working on for quite a long time, AND give all the daughter in laws a collection of family photographs, framed to match their decor, of each of their families AND do the annual calendar that I do each yr for all of them............besides the usual shopping for all the grandchillen. So between the breakfasts with santa, the travel back and forth to dallas, the rose garden lighting, the brunch AND dinner party I'm hosting on Tuesday for different sets of friends..............I AM TIRED!!! Haven't even started on the Christmas eve dinner that will be here with everyone in attendance.
ReplyDeleteWhat did I do today?? 3 batches of sausage balls, 2 batches of peanut butter balls, a new recipe of puff pastry wrapped oyster and sausage bundles for the freezer, a huge pot of chili............sorry you asked, eh??!!
